Norwich Quaker Meeting House

Heritage Open Day: This Grade II listed neoclassical building built in 1826 has connections with the notable Gurney family and was designed by architect John Patience. It is still used by more than 50 community groups and for Quaker worship, twice weekly Elizabeth Fry, the famous prison reformer, was born into the Gurney family in 1870 and was a regular attender at the Norwich Quaker Meeting House, where, later, she married Joseph Fry. She will appear, in person'!', to talk about
