The Strangers Club

Heritage Open Day: Elm Hill is one of the oldest thoroughfares in Norwich. The earliest known record of occupation of a building situated where the Strangers Club is, was in 1303, when a merchant, named John Butt resided there. John and Margaret Paston followed in the 15th century, they were the authors of the Paston Letters written around 1479.
