The Old Booking Hall, Haltwhistle

Heritage Open Day: Restored Victorian Booking Hall of 1838 with 'Edmondson' furnishings. Outside original signal cabin, water tank, station house. Much of the station complex is listed. Adjacent, is the 1849 Alston Arches viaduct which you can walk over, also 1875 cast iron River Tyne bridge. We plan to offer short guided walks around these features. Turn up and go! The Booking Hall will showcase the Wylam Winter Tales Festival's Exhibition about the Wylam 'over the line
