Heritage Open Day: Wallingford’s Town Hall has dominated the Market Place since 1670. It has played a major role in the life of the town over the centuries and symbolises the traditions of this ancient borough.
Built to replace the medieval Guild Hall, Wallingford Town Hall is grade 1 listed. Throughout the centuries the Town Hall has had numerous uses ranging from the town lock-up and a debtors' prison to the borough courtroom. The Town Hall has also hosted royalty, such as Queen Elizabe
