St Albans Church Wickersley
Heritage Open Day: St Albans church is a grade II listed building and well worth a visit .A church has stood on this site from 1150 , the church was rebuilt in 1470 the present tower is the oldest part of the church and dates back to this time . The lamp of St Nicholas was once lit in the tower to guide travellers at night. .
The stained glass windows are the most notable feature of St Albans Church and are really striking most of them were made by Henry Mark Barnett at the Victoria glass work
