Little Hall House and Garden
Heritage Open Day: Little Hall is one of the oldest timber framed buildings in Lavenham, It was built in the late 14th century for a family of clothiers and later improved and enlarged in the 16th century. At this time Lavenham was one of the richest towns in England. However by the late 16th century Lavenham had begun to decline. By the 1871 census it was divided into 5 tenements for 27 people.
Little Hall's fortunes changed when it was bought by the Gayer Anderson twin brothers in
