Heritage Open Day: Gordon Knowles, past President of the Leatherhead & District Local History Society, will give an illustrated talk on all aspects of the early motoring scene in Surrey, the roads, the pioneers, the vehicles and their manufacturers, and the legislation that tried to keep pace. He will cover the founding of the RAC and the AA and the opening of Brooklands.
