St John the Evangelist, Redhill
Heritage Open Day: Visit Redhill’s oldest church, a grade II* listed building designed by JL Pearson. Originally built in 1843 to designs by JT Knowles (Senior) and remodelled in 1889 by Pearson, the building is typical of many of his major churches (including Truro Cathedral). With a lofty chancel vaulted in stone with geometrical windows, richly-moulded doorways and the southwest steeple which rises to 185ft. A Victorian iron rood screen separates the chancel from the nave with its transvers
