St Mary Magdalene's Church, Ripley
Heritage Open Day: Grade II* listed church with a mixture of Norman and Victorian architecture. The 12th century chancel is notable, with an unusual string course. In the 1870s, Ripley was a popular meeting place for cyclists from London, who were given a warm welcome by the Dibble family at the Anchor Inn. A memorial window to Annie and Harriet Dibble was subscribed by the cyclists.
