Hetton Heritage Walk
Heritage Open Day: Starting at the Hetton Centre, which is on the old site of Hetton Hall, the residence of the Lyons family and continuing for just over an hour taking in various heritage locations along the way.
The varied locations reflect the life of a mining community,including a visit to Union Street Methodist Chapel (the Big Chapel) built in 1858, which will also be open for the day. The walk will finish at the refurbished 18th century Hetton Smithy. All participants will be provided with
