North East Land, Sea and Air Museum
Heritage Open Day: This fascinating museum has a number of transport collections based on the former RAF site.
Aircraft exhibits range from the tiny Flying Flea to the mighty Vulcan bomber, with display a display on 607 Squadron which was based there in the 1930’s. There is also a number of displays reflecting aviation history across the North East of England.
The Military Vehicle Museum are also on site with several military vehicles, field guns and missiles from the 1940s and 50s on display,
