Old Town Hall - Remembering Dr Blair
Heritage Open Day: This small building has a fascinating history and has been opened especially for Heritage Open Days - come and see inside. There will be a display by the South Shields Local History Group focused on Remembering Dr Blair (1845-1923).
Dr Blair was the son of a South Shields River Pilot, a solicitor and respected antiquarian. The display will be an insight into the life and work of a man whose passion and drive saved Arbeia Roman Fort.
