St John's Church
Heritage Open Day: Visitors are invited to explore the Grade II listed building of St John's Church.
This church is one of only two churches that has a French architecture design, and this building also has signs of a peel tower.
St John's Church was once connected to Hebburn Hall that was used by the Carr-Ellison family as a banquet hall until 1887 when the town of Hebburn was expanding.
St John's Church is also where the first Davey Peel Lamp was tested.
