Winlaton Cottage Forge Open Day

Heritage Open Day: The cottage forge is a unique memorial to over 250 years of blacksmiths’ work in Winlaton and the last remaining link in the village with Crowley’s firm, which dominated iron manufacturing in the North East throughout the 18th century. Located to the rear of Winlaton Library, the Forge will be manned by members of Winlaton Local History Society.
