Lunt Roman Fort
Heritage Open Day: The Lunt Roman Fort is the archaeological site of a Roman fort, of unknown name, in the Roman province of Britannia AD60 following the Boudiccan rebellion. In the early 1970s some walls of the fort were reconstructed upon the original foundations. The wooden gateway was rebuilt by the Royal Engineers using the same tools and techniques that the military engineers of the Roman Army would have used.
