Fernhurst Furnace Open Weekend
Heritage Open Day: Our event includes guided walks around this Blast Furnace site which is a Scheduled Ancient Monument At Risk. There are displays by the Sealed Knot's Rawdons Regiment of Foote with displays of loading and firing muskets and a skirmish. A wonderful display of flying hawks and owls by Hawking About. Local beer, roast lamb and veggie lunch. Refreshments, cakes and many woodland craft stalls. Blacksmiths, walking stick making, oak beam hewing are some of the demonstartions.
