Huddersfield Station Water Tower
Heritage Open Day: Visitors can see close up the restoration of this 1870s Water Tower, that used to supply steam locomotives with water at Huddersfield Station. The work to restore the building and convert it into a base for the Association of Community Rail Partnerships has been done with a low carbon footprint in mind, demonstrated by the displays inside. An excellent demonstration of how old disused buildings can be brought back into use.
