Woodhouse Mill Ponds Nature Reserve
Heritage Open Day: Take a look at the regeneration and creation of a nature reserve, protected woodland area, 2 fishing lakes designed to get kids involved in fishing, a special dipping pond area and an overview of the historic mill operation including original water controls and even a WWII gun mount. There is a picnic area on site, plus toilets, easy parking, bus stop opposite and walking distance to the railway station. Bring the kids and lets go bug hunting.
