Music in the Round 2017 Autumn Concert - Marmen String Quartet
MOZART String Quartet in G K.387, HAYDN String Quartet in C Op.74 No.1, BRAHMS String Quartet in A minor Op.51 No.2. For their final performance as Music in the Round’s ‘Bridge’ quartet, the Marmen Quartet launch the evening with effervescent works by Mozart and Haydn. Brahms’ Op.51 quartets were the first works for this formation that he was willing to publish, even then after a period of immense doubt – he actually described the pair as “written for the second time.” It was well worth waiting!
This concert starts at 7.15pm with tickets at £20; £14 Disabled and Unemployed; £5 Students and Under 35s. Tickets will be available on the door, until sold out.
