Manchester Camerata Principals concert: Mozart clarinet quintet 5:30pm
In their welcome return to the Stafford area, Principals from Manchester Camerata will play a concert of Mozart pieces, including the famous Clarinet Quintet.
Starting at 5:30pm, the concert runs until 7:30pm, including an interval for refreshments and drinks. Tickets are just £10.
The programme will consist of the Clarinet Quintet K.581, the Kegelstatt trio (for clarinet, viola and piano) K.498, and the Sonata in A for violin and piano k.526. Soloists are the orchestra’s leader Caroline Pether (violin) and Fiona Cross (clarinet), with Hannah Roberts (‘cello), Alex Mitchell (viola), Tom Aldren (violin) and Victor Lim (piano).
Manchester Camerata is the leading chamber orchestra in the NW region and have become renowned for their critically acclaimed recordings of Mozart’s piano concerti and opera overtures. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) is at the heart of their repertoire and to which they bring fresh and vibrant interpretations to audiences around the world. “Energetic Mozart up there with the very best… soloists, conductor and orchestra conjure up a magical soundworld” [BBC Music magazine]
Each year, ACCS puts on four or five high-standard, usually classical concerts [sometimes jazz] in the mediaeval Adbaston church, which has very good acoustics. Our aim is to make professional concert level music available in Stafford Borough area, at an affordable £10: audience around 50 – 80 people, sometimes more. We try to give a platform to regional artists and developing international talents who will benefit from the exposure and in building their professional concert CVs.
