Aberdeen City Centre Walking Tour with Scot Free Tours

Learn about Aberdeen's history and colourful characters, from pirates to Lord Byron, in this free walking tour.

Our flagship history tour takes in the Castlegate, the harbour, Marischal College, Provost Skene's House, Union Terrace Gardens and St Nicholas Kirk. It focuses on the old (although now largely demolished) parts of the city, as well as some of the most scenic parts of the city centre. Come on this tour to hear about the city's colourful past and quirky characters.

All tours start from the Mercat Cross in the Castlegate. To join a tour just turn up for the start time. The tours are free to join but you are encouraged to pay what you think it is worth at the end of the tour.

The tours last two and a half hours.

Private tours are available on request. Just contact us at scotfreetoursaberdeen@gmail.com.
In January - every Friday and Saturday at 1pm - 3.30pm.
