Big Squat on Bournemouth beach
Bournemouth fitness fans will be squatting on the beach – for the one in three who don’t have a proper toilet.
This is not a protest or public health disaster: local gyms and sports clubs are competing in a fitness challenge to raise funds for lifesaving loos overseas.
The ‘Big Squat’ on Saturday 23 September is organised by Toilet Twinning, a Bournemouth-based charity. Toilet Twinning helps provide proper toilets, clean water and hygiene education in some of the poorest countries.
