The Arts Society Tonbridge (was Tonbridge DFAS) Talk : Carl & Karin Larsson and the Ikea Effect

Carl Larsson (1853 - 1919) is Sweden's best known artist and together he and his wife Karin blended traditional native designs with the then unfashionable Gustavian style and the newly emerging Arts & Crafts influences. This eclectic approach resulted in a distinctive and influential style. His intriguing watercolours of the house and family spread this style throughout Europe and it is now enjoying a new lease of life in the Ikea age. Lecturer :
