'The Lute and its Cousins' by Enzo Puzzovio
An illustrated lecture-recital spanning the 500 year history of the lute, its influence, its decline and revival. On seven instruments (including a rare museum example) Enzo Puzzovio plays repertoire from the 13th to 17th centuries, describing how each instrument became incorporated into the society of its day. Puzzovio, a professional specialist in historic strings since 1984 has performed and recorded worldwide.
7.30pm start. Free admission with retiring collection. Duration 60-70 minutes with refreshments at end.
