Music for the Queen of Heaven - A concert in aid of Ely Cathedral Music Fund
Ely Consort will be joined by the choirs of the St Etheldreda Singers & Cadenza, with distinguished guest, Dame Emma Kirkby, to fill the Cathedral with glorious music spanning eight centuries!
In the first half in the Presbytery all the music will be based on plainsong from 12-20C. Dame Emma Kirkby will sing two pieces by Hildegard de Bingen backed by members of the Chamber Choir of the 21C from London, and two local choirs, Ely Consort and Cadenza, will sing pieces by Dufay, Tallis, Palestrina
