'He was a man who used to notice such things' - Thomas Hardy. Hardy wrote this in his poem Afterwards, and feels almost autobiographical. Hardy's own writing is full of close observation. You will be asked to use all of your senses to explore the cottage environment, unearthing your own particular telling details. Led by our writer-in-residence, Virginia Astley.
