Frank Falla versus the Foreign Office: the Fight for Compensation for Victims of Nazi Persecution

In this lecture, Dr Gilly Carr will explore the campaign by former political prisoner Frank Falla to obtain compensation for Nazi persecution. In 1964, the West German government awarded one million pounds as compensation for British victims of Nazi persecution. Falla, a Guernsey resident sent to Frankfurt and Naumburg prisons for working on underground newsletter 'GUNS', was the Channel Islands' 'unofficial official' in helping his fellow former prisoners in their
