On 27th November WMF Britain welcomes historian Bettany Hughes who will be talking about her new biography on Istanbul. A place that is racing up the modern political agenda, Bettany explores the roots of the city considered to be the gateway between the East and West, the North and South. Bettany is award-winning author who has made a number of documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4. She has devoted the last 25 years to the vibrant communication of the past.
