The Dukes and The Duchess
The Dukes and the Duchess was formed specifically to play the music of Duke Ellington. The band under the direction of Jim Luxton, features the outstanding voice of Sarah Benbow and some of the most experienced jazz musicians in Wales. Most of the arrangements are penned by saxophonist and chief arranger Robert Marks, who, like Ellington, writes for the individual musicians in the band.
