For centuries caravans of travelling gypsy's came round to villages and towns, fixing broken pots and pans or mending clocks. Even selling clothes pegs and baskets or trading horses or sold
medicines and told fortunes;
Steve Wright of the Romany and Traveller Family History Society tells us about them and their history.

Doors open at 2pm for research advice and chat. talk 2:30pm.
BGS members free, non members welcome £1.
Refreshments available following talk at small charge.
