Halsecombe House and Halsecombe Cottage - Open Garden for NGS
Set on top of Porlock Hill with outstanding views of Welsh coast, the Bristol Channel and surrounding Exmoor hills, a breathtaking location. Lawns on different levels, all with sweeping views of surrounding countryside. Of special interest are the series of ponds and reed beds, richly stocked with bulrushes, reeds, irises, kingcups and home to herons, ducks, butterflies and dragonflies. Fine examples of Exmoor drystone walls throughout both gardens. House is circled by generously sized beds and the Cottage is more ornamental with many rare plants.
Times:13:00 to 17:00. Open for charity.
