Select: An exhibition curated from the Arts Council Collection Peterborough Museum & City Gallery present a phenomenal display of artworks by internationally acclaimed artists. Showcasing sculpture, print, painting and drawing dating from the 50’s to present day, the works represent prominent figures in modern and contemporary art. Each with their own unique style, the artists included in the exhibition are distinguishable by their choice of subject matter, colour, line and form. Artworks were selected from the Arts Council Collection, which includes nearly 8000 artworks by 2000 artists, and the Ealand & Warwick Bequest, which is part of our own collection. Artists include: Josef Albers, David Annesley, David Batchelor, Kate Blacker, Patrick Caulfield, Tony Cragg, Alan Davie, Richard Deacon, Jim Dine, Patrick Heron, Antony Gormley, Tim Lewis, Julian Opie, Eduardo Paolozzi, Cornelia Parker, Victor Vasarely, Bill Woodrow.
