"Breathe" and Rotary’s "Polio Plus"
On Friday March 16th there will be screening of “Breathe” at the Knighton Community Centre starting at 7.30pm. This is a British film made in 2017 which shows the extraordinary struggle of a young man diagnosed with polio and members of the Knighton Rotary Club will be at the performance to answer questions about Rotary’s Polio eradication programme “Polio Plus”. As Rotary Club President Howard Goslyn says “Since 1985, with the support of Rotary International, the Gates Foundation and others, 2.5 billion children have been immunized in 122 countries, with polio remaining in just two and only 22 cases being reported last year. We are nearly there!” Come to the Knighton Community Centre on March 16th and be inspired both by “Breathe” and by Rotary’s efforts to eradicate polio from the world forever.
7.30pm £4 entry A "Flicks in the Sticks" screening, supported by Arts Alive.
