Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden - Stitch and embroidery at Swanley

Come and learn basic stitches of needle-craft which the monks would have used from running stitch to chain stitch. While today needle-craft and embroidery is done as a hobby, in medieval times it was necessary to use stitch to make your own clothes. Booking Not Needed. Dogs on leads welcome.
