Knightshayes Court - Golf, gardens and guides: Joyce, Lady Amory’s story

Joyce, Lady Amory, the last member of the family to live at Knightshayes, left a tremendous legacy. Join us to discover the trail she blazed in women's golf in the 1920's and her role in creating the stunning infamous garden here. Joyce, Lady Amory was a trail blazer in the world of golf, achieving tremendous success in what was regarded 'a man's world'. She is responsible for creating the infamous woodland garden that surrounds the house at Knightshayes, along side her husband John and gardener, Michael Hickson.
