'ALL THAT GLITTERS' Letters & Art exhibition
Lingfield Scribes interpret poetry and prose using their skills with a squre edged nib & ink. Letters that were used in manuscripts before printing evolved such as the Celtic or Uncial hand, Gothic black letter, & Italic. In the past the work included coloured decoration and illustration to enhance the letters or tell a story & known as Calligraphy these letters include contempory lettering alphabets which express to-days world. The exhibition venue has seating and refreshments are available
Open 9.30- 4pm weekdays & 1-4pm Saturdays; closed Sundays
