Royal Free Singers - Durufle: Requiem, Flor Peeters: Missa Festiva

The Royal Free Singers are delighted to be performing two beautiful 20th century works with organ accompaniment.

Maurice Durufle composed his 1947 Requiem in memory of his father. The music, while based on themes from a Gregorian plainchant, has a distinctly contemporary, but individual character, and many consider it to be one of the most beautiful pieces of 20th century religious music.
