The Importance of Being Earnest

Jack wishes to marry Gwendolen but he first must convince her mother, Lady Bracknell, of the respectability of his parents and his past, but this is not as easy as it sounds, as Jack has no idea who his parents actually are, as he started life abandoned in a handbag at Victoria Station.
