Concert: Elijah by Mendelssohn
Newcastle Bach Choir joins forces with a guest choir from Newcastle's twinned town Gelsenkirchen, Germany, to sing Mendelssohn's Elijah - a wonderful musical journey through key events in the story of Elijah, including a dramatic retelling (resinging?) of the contest between Elijah and the prophets of Baal. As well as the drama there are many beautiful melodies for choir and soloists.
Concert starts at 3.00pm in Sage Hall 1, ends around 5.15pm.
