Dave Martin's Jabbo Five at Martock Church
Dave Martin is a well-known New Orlean-style jazz band leader in the West Country. As well as the Jabbo Five, he leads the 6-piece City Steam Jazz Band from Exeter. He has brought the Jabbo Five once and City Steam 4 times to Martock and is much admired for his Whispering Dave voice and his cornet and trumpet playing. Dave also plays valve-trombone in the Jabbo Five and his supported by clarinet/sax; piano; banjo/guitar and sousaphone/slide trombone. They play a wide repertoire of popular 1920
