The Occam Singers Mozart Requiem Wheeler: I Sing and Ever Shall Conductor: David Gibson
Mozart started writing his deeply emotional Requiem in late 1791, aged just 35. It is said that while composing it he shared a premonition with his wife Constanze, that he himself would soon die. Sadly Mozart’s vision proved correct and he died before finishing it. A friend, Sussmayr, completed it the following year at Constanze’s request.
