Commemorating the end of WW1
After the end of WW1 there was a lot of optimism about the future. Men were returning from the theatre of war, and women, having been out working in many cases, no longer wished to stay at home. This event seeks to display details of the village of Thringstone and those surrounding Leicestershire villages at the time, the changes taking place, and the welcome afforded to returning soldiers, sailors and airmen. The event will feature displays and exhibitions between 12 noon and 6pm, and at 7.p
Exhibition 12 noon until 6pm. Music event 7pm onwards.
