Summer Music on the Hilltop
An afternoon of music in the pilgrim church of St Martha's, high up on the North Downs near Guildford. Starting with jazz at noon, we follow with recitals for cello and for clarinet, chamber music from the Apsley string quartet, Nordic greats for violin, University of Surrey musicians, and the Motivation by Music Gospel Choir. Walkers and dogs welcome in the church. Light refreshments and toilets available. Ideal for picnics, with one of the finest views in Surrey.
Free recitals on the hour from 12-6pm. Access by steep footpath from Halfpenny Lane or White Lane car parks (10-15 mins).
