Waddesdon Manor - Glorious Years: French Calendars from Louis XIV to the Revolution

Glorious Years is a celebration of the power of the printed image before photography. An exhibition of rare calendars, published in Paris in 17th and 18th centuries. From royal weddings to victorious battles, almanacs glorified the king by illustrating these significant events on large single-sheet printed calendars, which spread into the homes, schools and shops of the French people.
