England in the Summer
Brighton Consort (director James Dixon) will be presenting a programme of vocal music entitled “England in the Summer” on Sunday June 24th (6.00 p.m.) in St Paul’s Church, West St., Brighton.
The concert will feature a variety of madrigals, lute songs and part-songs from across the centuries, including works by the 16th century composers William Byrd and Robert Parsons, several beautiful songs by Edward Elgar, and Stanford’s famous “The Bluebird”.
