The great old tradition of cheese rolling, this was originally put on hundreds of years ago, by the gentry of the land, around Brockworth, for a day of many sport events including grinning, shin kicking, dancing round the maypole at the top of the hill, and where the local men excelled there egos, now all that is left is the rolling of cheese, where competitors run down the steep hill, the first over the line wins the 8 pound cheese
This event is free, the first race at 12 noon, get there early as you have to walk, to the hill, 30 to 45 minutes, we do have buckets out, mugs on sale key rings, we will be cooking beef burgers all p
