Helland Festival of Music
A Festival of Music will be held in Helland, near Bodmin, on 29th and 30th June with all proceeds going to Cornwall Hospice Care.
On Friday 29th June there will be a concert in Helland Church at 7.30pm with The Boscastle Buoys, inTune Choir, Benefice Choir, Stuart and Charlie Ellis along with various soloists.
On Saturday 30th June in Helland Village Hall there will be a Cream Tea and Coffee morning between 10am-12pm.
In the village hall at 7pm we are thrilled to welcome London Gwerin. Two Cornish friends, Daniel Woodfield and Jon Bennallick, living in London decided to reminisce and celebrate their own culture. A band that takes a contemporary approach to the music and dance of the Celtic nations whilst paying homage to their deep rooted traditions. Our second act for the evening is well known local group The Gumbo Flyers. They were one of the first bands in Europe to embrace the infectious Cajun and Zydeco music of Louisiana. They have thrilled audiences at festivals.
