Cry! - Sounds of Cities, Battles, Birds & Beasts - in Tudor Song
The Friends` Musick chamber choir team up with the Mock Tudor Band in period costume, with a lively presentation of mainly 16th century music and songs that recall the sounds of the hustle & bustle of busy street markets, country pursuits, the cacophony of the battlefield (beating drums, thunder of cannons, clanking of swords, soldiers shouting) and by contrast, peaceful birdsong such as the owl and nightingale.
