Horses at Work
Horses played an important role in the history of the waterways, for over 200 years canal boats were pulled by horses. And for much longer the country depended on them for work and warfare.
See horses in action, pulling one of the museum's boats along the canal, take a horse drawn carriage ride and enjoy other activities including pony rides.
An excellent day out for families with activities for the children.
