Canterbury Shakespeare Festival: Romeo and Juliet

“Is love a tender thing?”

Romeo and Juliet; the classic coming of age tale, exploring rebellion, innocence and the relevance of tradition. Shakespeare’s famous love story is reimagined with a 1950s twist: over ten years since the end of World War Two, two families continue to feud over the past whilst the new generation of teenagers bring hope the future, paving the way for trouble and tragedy.
